Q: How can you tell how old your products are?

Check the Batch Number on the label.
To read the manufacture date, the first 2 numbers are the batch, the second 2 numbers are the month & the last 2 numbers are the year.
Example: Batch Number 081010 this would mean Batch number 8, made in October, 2010.

Q: What is the shelf life of your products?

A: Any product that has dihyroxyacetone in the formula can be adversely affected by heat, even if exposed for a short time. The Contest Colour range, Tan Easy, Eclipse Mousse & Equinox all have this ingredient. This can shorten the shelf life of these products.
So under perfect circumstances approx. 12-18 months is a normal life.
Best place to store these products is in the door shelf of the fridge.
Note: DO NOT FREEZE.
Other products in our range should be OK for up to several years.

Q: Can you mix products together?

A: I cannot recommend mixing other manufacturers products with ours.
You can certainly mix our products together (depending on the product).
You can mix Tan Easy & Acetone Free Contest colour together to get a darker spray tan for every day use, or if you want to tone down Contest Colour because it is to dark.
If you want to change the shade of Body Shimmer or Tan Master, you can mix the two together.

Q: Any special tips on application?

A: Over the years I have been told some good ideas for applying & some very strange ones indeed. Most people have their own little secret application that suits their situation.
Spraying the liquids through spray tanning equipment is great & effective.
Using a make-up sponge or a folded Chux cloth also will work fine.
The use of a small foam paint roller is very popular as well.
Just be mindful of your surrounding space & try not to make a mess.
The Contest Colour & Eclipse Foaming Mousse is great for eliminating splashes & runs. Great to use when you are traveling.
What I can recommend is that you take your time & try to follow the directions that suit your situation. Don’t apply to quickly or heavily, it’s always good to have someone to assist you.

Q: What are your best products?

A: They are all great…………they all have different jobs.
You just have to get the combination to suit your skin type, your situation & your end use.
You can’t compare an African/American to a red headed Scotsman, but they both need extra tan under strong lighting.
Different products work better for different people. Bodybuilders will use a different combination then Fitness Models or Dancers. Doing a photo shoot? Use a different combination again.
Contact us if you need help deciding.

Q: Can I use the products if I am pregnant?

A: All our formulas are as safe as we can get, but we do rely on out-sourced information. We only use government approved raw materials.
But, you are applying the tan to the largest organ of the body, your skin.
So the decision is ultimately yours to take.
If you have any doubts at all, do not use.
